Frequently asked questions
The questions Vesika users ask most often, with short answers. Each answer links to the page that explains the topic in detail. If you are looking at an error message, go straight to Troubleshooting.
Account and sign-in
How do I get an account?
Vesika has no self sign-up. Your firm's or organisation's administrator creates accounts; the sign-in page says so too: "Hesaplar yöneticiniz tarafından oluşturulur. Hesabınız yoksa yöneticinizle iletişime geçin." (Accounts are created by your administrator. If you have no account, contact your administrator.) Once your account exists, you sign in with your email address and password: Signing in.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
There is no "forgot password" link in the app. Ask your administrator to reset your password; after you sign in with the password they give you, you can set your own. See Signing in.
How do I change my password?
In Ayarlar (Settings), on the Şifre (Password) card, fill in Mevcut şifre (Current password), Yeni şifre (New password) and Yeni şifre (tekrar) (New password, again), then click Şifreyi değiştir (Change password). The new password must be 8 to 128 characters long, must not start or end with a space, and must differ from your current one. Changing it closes your sessions on other devices; the session on the device you are using stays open. Details: Account and settings.
How long does my session last?
By default, 30 days from the moment you sign in. Using the app does not extend it; when it runs out, you are asked to sign in again. Sessions belong to a browser: on another computer or browser you sign in separately. See Signing in.
What language is the app in?
Vesika's interface is in Turkish. This guide is available in Turkish and English; the English pages give every button's Turkish name together with its meaning.
Vesika AI and sources
Where does Vesika AI search when it answers?
In Vesika's legal database: legislation, decisions of the Yargıtay (Court of Cassation), the Danıştay (Council of State), UYAP precedent decisions, Constitutional Court decisions, the decisions of several regulatory boards and other sources. For the full list and what is out of scope, see Sources and coverage. You can limit the search to particular sources; if you select none, the database search is turned off.
Can Vesika AI's answers be wrong?
Yes. The decisions and legislation Vesika AI finds are real documents, but the conclusion, summary or quotation it draws from them can be wrong. Open every citation in an answer and read the document itself, and review drafted documents before you use them. How to open citations: Reading an answer.
How do I check a citation?
Click the citation in the answer; the decision or statutory article opens in the document reader. Check that the quoted wording really appears in the document and is used in its proper context. Also check current legislation against the official text: Sources and coverage.
What are the depth options for?
Derinlik (Depth) sets how much research Vesika AI does for a question: En hızlı (Fastest), Hızlı (Fast), Dengeli (Balanced) and Derin (Deep). Deeper levels look at more sources and take longer. Details: Asking a question.
Documents and files
Which file types can I upload, and how large can they be?
The limit depends on where you upload the file:
| Where | Types | Maximum |
|---|---|---|
| Vesika AI (web) | PDF, Word (DOCX), UDF, images; also files such as Excel, CSV and plain text | 25 MB for the copy kept in Dosyalar (Files) |
| Dosyalar (Files) | Files you upload and files the tools produce | 25 MB |
| Tools that read documents (İçtihat Arama, petition / formal notice / contract drafting, Belge Analizi, Sözleşme İncelemesi, İcra Takibi) | PDF, Word (.docx, .doc), UDF, text (.txt, .rtf); İçtihat Arama also .html and .eml | 15 MB |
| Kurum Şablonları (Firm templates) | Template: .docx, .pdf, .udf, .txt, .rtf, .doc · Letterhead: PNG or JPEG | Template 5 MB · Letterhead 10 MB |
| iPhone: Vesika AI attachments | – | 25 MB |
| iPhone: İçtihat Arama document | – | 15 MB |
Details: Attaching files, Files, Firm templates.
Can I use UYAP's UDF files?
Yes. You can attach a UDF file to Vesika AI; it is converted to text before it is sent and still shows in the conversation under its .udf name. The tools that read documents accept UDF too. See Attaching files.
Where are my uploaded files kept?
Files you attach to Vesika AI, documents you upload to tools and documents the tools produce are kept in Dosyalar (Files). From there you can reuse them in another conversation or tool with Dosyalarımdan seç (Choose from my files), download them or delete them. A file with identical content is not stored twice. See Files.
Tools
Why does a tool look locked?
Your plan does not include it. A locked tool stays in the list with the short name of the plan it needs (for example starter) next to it; when you open it, a Bir plana abone olun (Subscribe to a plan) card appears. Tools open only to administrators, or in a trial stage, do not open either. See Plans and limits.
A tool I expect is missing from my list. Why?
Your administrator may have turned the module off for your account or opened it only to people they chose; in that case the tool does not appear in your list at all. Contact your administrator. See Plans and limits.
Plans and limits
How do I upgrade my plan?
Plans are not bought inside the app. Your administrator assigns them; the Satış ekibiyle görüş (Talk to sales) and Şimdi değil (Not now) buttons in the Bir plana abone olun window only close the window. To upgrade, contact your administrator or the person who manages your agreement with Vesika. See Plans and limits.
What is the AI spend limit?
Your administrator can set an AI spend limit for your account or your company. Usage is measured over the past month on a rolling basis; past 80% of the limit a warning appears, and at the limit a warning that cannot be closed appears and Vesika AI and the tools' AI features stop accepting requests. Features that do not use AI (for example reading decisions and legislation in the document reader, or using Dosyalar) keep working. See Plans and limits.
What does the monthly Derin allowance mean?
Your administrator can limit how many answers you get per month at the Derin (Deep) level. Each Derin answer is counted the moment it starts; the allowance renews on the first day of each month (Turkey time). When it is used up you can continue with the other depth levels. In company accounts the allowance is shared by everyone in the company. See Plans and limits.
What is the storage limit?
Your administrator can set a limit (in MB) on the total size kept in Dosyalar; your usage shows at the bottom of the Dosyalar section. When it is full, new files are not kept; you can delete old files or ask your administrator to raise the limit. See Files.
The iPhone app
Which devices does the iPhone app run on?
It runs on iPhone, with iOS 26 or later. You sign in with your web account; accounts are not created in the app either. See Installing and signing in.
What is in the iPhone app, and what is web-only?
The app has four tabs: Vesika AI, İçtihat Arama (Case-law search, if it is open for your account), Favoriler (Favorites) and Hesap (Account). Petition, formal notice and contract drafting, the calculators, Dosyalar, Ayarlar, password changes and the administration tools are on the web. Şifremi değiştir (Change my password) on the Account tab opens the settings page on vesika.ai. See Vesika AI on iPhone, The account tab.
How do I delete my account on iPhone?
On the Hesap tab, tap Hesabımı sil (Delete my account), enter Mevcut şifreniz (Your current password) and tap Hesabımı kalıcı olarak sil (Delete my account permanently). Your account and everything linked to it (your conversations, files, saved settings and history) are deleted permanently; this cannot be undone. If you belong to an organisation, your membership ends too; the organisation's other accounts are not affected. See The account tab.
Where do I get help with the iPhone app?
The Destek (Support) link on the Hesap tab opens the app's support page. For account and password matters, contact your administrator.
Privacy and data
Who receives my questions and documents?
The iPhone app asks for your consent before the first AI action: your questions and the documents you attach are sent to Vesika's AI service provider and the model providers it uses, so that an answer can be produced. Case-law search and document reading do not use AI. You can withdraw your consent at any time on the Hesap tab. See The account tab.
Where can I find Vesika's privacy notices?
On the web, the KVKK Aydınlatma Metni (Personal data protection notice) and Gizlilik Politikası (Privacy policy) links are at the bottom of the sign-in page. In the iPhone app, use the Gizlilik Politikası link on the Hesap tab.
What happens when I delete a file?
A file you delete from Dosyalar is deleted permanently; you are asked to confirm first. See Files.
